Jeremias Düring

Project summary

My dissertation project is entitled “Pluralism in Economic Thought? On Scientific Pluralism and its Implications for Contemporary Economics”. My goal is to bring together the literatures on scientific and economic pluralism. In the concrete case of Ecological Economics, a heterodox school of economic thought, I want to show the benefits of an interactive form of pluralism, but also the obstacles that need to be overcome in order to fully reap what Hasok Chang calls the “benefits of interaction”.
