Are you interested in getting a glimpse into academia but not sure how?
You can ask questions, learn more about scientific research, and gain an understanding of how academia works. In shared workshops, we explore questions such as what career paths exist in academia, how to plan such a path, and what to keep in mind along the way. The programme is designed to help you build academic skills so that you can work independently in research and excel in academic projects. It also strengthens your confidence in handling academic competencies. Through personal mentoring by members of the Research Training Group, you will receive valuable support.
her.culis is a funding programme run by Research Training Group 2696. It specifically addresses female Bachelor’s students from Faculties 1, 2, and 4 at the University of Wuppertal, and is dedicated to the early promotion and empowerment of the next generation of women in academia. This programme is part of the university’s commitment to increasing the proportion of women in research.
The programme runs over a period of one year and launched in June 2024. It offers participants the opportunity to work on their own projects and establish valuable contacts with experts. In addition, they receive remuneration for their work and have access to interactive workshops that further develop their academic competencies.
her.culis aims to encourage young women to engage with academia at an early stage and find their place within it. The programme supports them in developing their skills and provides the opportunity to become part of a network.
